This has to be one of my favorite Metroid games. It was also my first one, which introduced me to the series. The linear gameplay made things too easy and repetative after the first playthrough. Outside of that I loved it. The bosses were great, the power ups were great, and the story was great.

Yeah, it was pretty good. The ties it made to the other games in the series was great, and I loved how Samus was given a personality (somewhat any way). But, like you said, it was way more linear than all of the past titles. I don't mind that too much, but it was just unexpected after playing Zero Mission, which was pretty non linear.

A great addition to the series, no doubt.
